A Lawyer graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Law Degree, 1974).

In the same year he began rendering services as lawyer at “Díaz Egaña Hung Aveledo”. In 1976 he worked for the Venezuelan Petrochemical Industry, in the area of joint companies. In 1977 he joined as an Associate in the Law Firm of Matthies, Klahr, Zighelboim & Dominguez; subsequently, in 1979 he became a partner. In 1998 the organization was reestablished under the name of Klahr, Colmenares & Trivella, from which he became an administrative partner, until its dissolution.

He has a broad experience in Corporate Law and Foreign Investments, with special emphasis on Intellectual Property. He is an intellectual property agent and an active member of the Venezuelan Association of Intellectual Property Agents (COVAPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Inter-American Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI) and MARCASUR (Latin-American Magazine of Industrial Property Specialists). He has published several articles in national and international newspapers and magazines on foreign investments, technology transfers, intellectual property rights and tourism. He has been lecturer and speaker at several workshops, talks, congresses and symposiums on this area. Likewise, he has collaborated in the amendment projects of the Andean decisions on the area of intellectual property.

His experience in Intellectual Property includes the conduction of market feasibility studies of trademarks; preparation and conduction of administrative and judicial actions; handling of trademark cancellations, licensing of distinctive signs; drafting of all kinds of contracts, including distribution agreements, among others.

He also has an extensive experience in Civil and Corporate Law.
