Our practice in Labor Law covers all the areas of organizations involved directly or indirectly in the management of human capital and labor relationships:

  • We structure, according to the requirements of our clients, the personnel and benefit system to be adopted within a corporation, taking into account its particular context of business.

  • We assess the strengths and weaknesses of organizations by performing legal audits in the labor area (Organic Labor Law, Organic Law on Prevention, Conditions and Work Environment, Social Security Systems, etc.).

  • We provide environment analyses in commencing activities and changing business schemes (mergers, restructurings, downsizings, migrations of benefit schemes, closures, etc.), and provide advice in all the areas involved in such processes.

  • We represent clients in collective bargaining, union negotiations, labor strikes, and generally, in all sorts of collective procedures, taking into account the specific labor environment of each company.

  • We provide advice on health and security at work towards the compliance with the Venezuelan legislation (i.e., Ley Orgánica de Prevención Condiciones y Medio Ambiente de Trabajo and the regulations issued by the National Institute of Prevention, Health and Security at Work, INPSASEL).

  • We provide counseling on Social Security issues.

  • We provide conciliation services in labor matters, aimed at attaining –in case of individual or collective conflicts- satisfactory agreements between the parties.

  • We provide immediate assistance in case of inspections by the relevant labor authorities: IVSS, INPSASEL, INCES and the Labor Inspectors.
