A Lawyer graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Law Degree 1978), with a Specialization Degree in Procedural Law from the same university (1994).

His legal career began in 1978 as an associate attorney of the law firm Matthies, Klahr, Zighelboim & Domínguez. In 1983 he became a partner of The firm and led the litigation department. In year 1998 the organization was reestablished under the name of Klahr, Colmenares & Trivella and he became managing partner until its dissolution in 2005.

In the area of Corporate Law, his professional practice focuses on the design and execution of the most sophisticated and efficient business structures, through the implementation of cutting-edge legal schemes for assets and tax planning, as well as for investment protection. Likewise, he has conducted relevant mergers and acquisitions of corporations and groups of companies from the hydro-electric energy and industrial sectors, among others.

He has a profound knowledge of the real estate and town planning laws, providing legal counsel to important local and foreign corporations belonging to the construction sector, mainly in the planning and execution of well known projects and real estate developments in Venezuela, including the El Recreo Shopping Mall, the entire Lomas del Sol neighborhood, the Digitel Tower, the Recreo La Castellana Shopping Mall, etc.

His vast understanding of the world of business, has driven him to be elected as permanent counselor or as appointed member of the Boards of Directors of important insurance and financial corporations, wholesale and retail companies, entities from the energy and construction sectors, as well as recreation and social clubs, including Seguros Nuevo Mundo S.A. (1983 to 2010), Grupo Activalores (1996 to present), Rattan Hypermarket, C.A. (2006 to 2010), C.A. Electricidad de Puerto Cabello (2007 to 2011), Grupo NSM (2008 to present) and Club Puerto Azul (2015 to present).

Additionally, he served as the appointed liquidator in the bankruptcy Court proceeding of the former Línea Aeropostal Venezolana, S.A. which concluded with the satisfactory execution of a creditors’ agreement in the year 1997.
